Little Surprises

As many of you know I have a little flower shop and many times when I find a new distributor or new flower I try it at my house 1st. And this year my husband found this gorgeous peonies he decided to bring home, looked to me like coral sunset ones but we were not sure, so we gave them a try...

Well what a surprise when this flower had become the topic of conversation and incredible fun at our house. We keep laughing so hard whenever we are around the flowers.

Turns out this peonies go from bright bold strong pink and gradualy lighten as time goes by to a light apricot whiteish color when they fully open. 

But not just that, they get incredibly stinky!!! They smell soooo bad it's fun to mess around with. We all smell it and make funny faces or it's a challenge to smell it "the one who looses at UNO gets to smell the flowers" or whoever is being a stinker gets to sit by the flowers... endless fun

Regardless they are a show stoper though a full gorgeous arrangement!

Hope you find the little joys in the every day and the beautiful glimmers God sends. Sometimes were too busy or distracted and miss them. Take this as your reminder to slow down and take it all in

Hi everyone, I know it has been a while since the last post, a few things happened in our life and I gave myself the time I needed and grace to fully focus (more on that later) The good news is I am back and with a powerful topic! A few weeks ago I was feeling completely depleted as a mom and wife and woman. I realized I had been putting myself last and was feeling the consequences! It made me think of how us mamas by nature we are nurturers, we want to take care of everyone and yet we forget to take care of us, or feel "guilty" doing so. But let me tell you mamas WE are the ones that keep the family going, they depend on us, our kids, home and hubbies count on us, and we can't fulfill the calling that God sent us if we feel empty, we feel stuck, we are running on fumes, and snapping at everyone in our path.
