Seeds of hope…

While we are cooped up inside I am coming up with activities that give hope, to remind our little one and us that there is a light at the end of this tunnel.

And in my mind watching a bean germinate it’s exactly what we need at this moment! Just seeing how with time and right conditions the bean opens, roots come out, and a plant grows!

It is very fitting to our situation, we just have to lay low for a while, go through the discomfort of cracking open and stripping away the non essential and business to focus on whats really important, water with patience and love, have the light of faith, and us too will grow.

I remember doing this activity in school who else does? In my class we used baby Gerber food jars!

*Grab a jar
*wet paper towles and keep them moist
*place dry beans between paper towels and glass (hopefully you guys got some just in case and not just toilet paper lol 🤪 if not make sure to stock on those dry goods- with measure ofcourse)
*place in a bright window and see them grow!
*have your little ones do a “journal” and track how quick and how much they grow just adapt it to their level (my kiddo will probably do a drawing one since she’s still working on learning how to write)

We went a little bean crazy and “planted’ a bunch, oh well, we’ll just have to see what happens

Have fun!
